So Grateful for Thoughtful Reviews of The Lost Book of Zeroth!

Today, I was delighted to read two reviews of my new book. The first one I saw is by Cindy Georgakas on Unique Times. In this post, she also reblogs a poem she wrote for MasticadoresUSA. You will appreciate the sentiments in her poem, which addresses the fear of diversity and loss of unconditional love. And thoughtfully, she gives a positive critique of a stunning poem by Yaskhan. Unique Times has a huge following because Cindy has an open heart and is a talented writer.

Cindy mentions the literary journal I created a few months ago to create community and provide support during these uncertain times. It’s called Feed the Holy. I hope you read some of the posts and submit!

The second review was on Mom with a Blog

Thank you, Melissa Lemay and family, for this wonderful review, as well! Melissa, your son is so adorable! My book includes a blurb by Melissa. I quote it in full here. She quotes from it in her post today.

“It is the mark of a good writer to make us feel things; it is the mark of an excellent writer to reach, with empathy, across lines and pages into our heart. In The Lost Book of Zeroth, Barbara Leonhard shares that place of vulnerability, reaching out to us and letting us know we are still alive.

We experience so much busyness that some have forgotten how to be human, as many of the poems and stories the first three chapters in The Lost Book of Zeroth explore. With her sharp wit, humor, and poetic reflection, Leonhard takes us on a journey through the advancement and absurdity of our world to a place where we go back to our roots to being, not human again, but soul. She tells us that she understands the dark places, and that even in them, there is light. It is a profound journey of the highest order for those of us who appreciate excellence in writing and in heart.”

Melissa Lemay, Mom with a Blog; Editor for Collaborature

Melissa created Collaborature to provide a place where people who “work jointly with others or together especially in an intellectual endeavor” to compose poetry and prose. I highly recommend that you read this journal and submit.

Please continue to read her complete review today.

My books are available on Amazon and some local independent bookshops and libraries.
