What Mother Needs: Time to Heal

I revised this poem since putting it up in FREE VERSE REVOLUTION. I’m Still not certain it is finished. Is any poem?

What Mother Needs: Time to Heal

We are all one kind, one child

in the eyes of our wondrous Mother.

Our Mother’s lungs are shared by all;

we all breathe the same air.

Our tears, her rain.

Every cry of a newborn,

recorded on her fabric.

Every gun, shot in fear,

rips through our Mother,

her flesh, her bones, her breath,

and into dark matter out of sight.

Apprehension, the basis of all injury,

creates separation, isolation, animosity.

We are not alone in love.

Love heals torn limbs reaching for embrace.

Love constructs not just our soul,

but the soul of our Mother.

Distain and reverence cannot reside

in the same house.

Despair not. Despise not.

Love those that fear and hate.

This is the great challenge

It is our choice –

In fact, the most important choice,

to cherish with all our heart

regardless of fear of harm,

which is dread of separation and isolation

from our Mother, who supports each of us.

Forgive and hold dear the loveless;

Mother teaches charity and integrity

Even in storms and floods.

This is our choice,

to adore and revere with all our being.

Those who love without abandon

heal all, even our Mother.

Audio and Thoughts: Do Unto

Last night I published a poem on this blog called Do Unto. I have completed the audio. It was challenging to express the hate and fear depicted in the poem out loud. More and more we see posts on social media of people going off on others, especially those perceived to be immigrants, and other people of color. Trying to capture this reviling tone while speaking the poem was difficult.

It seems like civility these days is dissolving into a swamp of fear and hatred. We are here on Earth with the privilege to love and through our love to cocreate wellness and peace. We aren’t meant to bully and to demean each other.

As Caroline Myss states, “Our biography becomes our biology.” That is, negativity of any kind contributes to illness in the individuals who are spewing hate and to social contagion as groups rise up to scapegoat and to repress others. The way to heal fear is through nurturing compassion and empathy.

Masuru Emoto showed in his experiments with water molecules that if hateful words are directed toward the molecules, they become distorted and malformed. However, molecules that receive positive vibrations through words of love, form into beautiful crystals.

This short video demonstrates how sensitive water is to our thoughts and words. We are made up mostly of water, so if we exhibit or experience racism, imagine how that interaction affects our spiritual and physical bodies. Notice in this short video how ugly, distorted, and ill the water molecule becomes with the words “Adolph Hitler”. Yes, our biography becomes our biology if you consider the effects of hate on our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. The result is often illness.

Moreover, fearful thinking can become habitual, making it difficult to let go and allow others’ needs to come first. People cling to dogma, which is habitual thinking, to justify their fear-based actions. I think every holy book has the Golden Rule. “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”  But it seems that value has been lost to many lately, and sadly, the holy books are sometimes used as weapons to perpetuate fear and dependency. I think many writers on WordPress are addressing the social, economic, and political issues that seem to be making our society sick. I can see it in the poetry, essays, and art. It’s important for us to continue to speak up about love, forgiveness, compassion, empathy, and other positive values, as these concepts are powerful medicine.

Most importantly, we each need to nurture and love ourselves, for if our cup of love has run dry, how can we possibly be there for others? Self-regard is a positive attribute if it doesn’t become narcissistic or self-serving and manipulative, using fear to control others. Therefore, the ego must stay in check as we grow into our powers.

All change begins in oneself.  Love in one resonates to all just as hate in one resonates to all. We each have a choice as to how we want our heart to sing and our souls and bodies to heal.

Love and Light!

Do Unto

Do Unto

We seem to be in a daze

In this Dance of Life.

Is this My life

Or is it Our life to grow as One?

What I do to You,

I do to All

And mainly to Myself.

My fear and anger,

My rage,

Reside in My body, not Yours.

I am killing Myself with disease

Because I despise You.

Because I abhor You,

I abhor Myself.

Because I loathe Myself,

I loathe You more!

I despise Your face and Your skin!

I deplore Your poverty!

Your children disgust me!

I resent the fact that You are not of My tribe!

Your needs are deplorable because

Mine are greater!

Your fear of loss is pathetic because

My fear of abandonment is much deeper,

Much deeper than Your sorrows.

You can’t have what is MINE!

You CAN’T have what is mine!

YOU can’t have what is MINE!

I despise YOU because

You feel entitled to what is

MINE!

And I’ll scream at YOU until MY pain is heard!

Until I’M seen and heard

Because I feel invisible and mute,

Helpless, disrespected, disowned.

It’s taught that

What I do to You,

I do to Myself,

The anger and fear bind My soul, not Yours,

And poison My blood, not Yours

My loathing is Self-loathing.

I Abhor My face, My skin, My poverty, My children!

My soul is deplorable!

So You must suffer

Because I am in such pain, and

My life is at stake!

My home,

My money,

My tribe!

It’s taught,

Unto you,

Unto me.

What I do to you, I do to myself.

How can We heal this cycle of fear?

How can We love?

If only I could love My own soul, then

I could love Yours more and

Heal this anger, this

Cancer, this

Malignancy, this

Contagion.

My anger and fear are toxins

Tearing apart My heart, not Your heart.

When can I finally see,

When can I finally feel,

Unto You,

Unto Me.

What I do to You,

I do to Myself.

Unto Me,

Unto You.

What I do to Myself,

I also do to You!

When can I know?

When!

A Time to Heal

A Time to Heal

We are all One
Sharing the Same Energy Field.
We are but sparks from the Same Light.
Your day is everyone’s day.
Your night is everyone’s night.
Your tears become the tears of all time.
Your joys make all life and matter smile.
Every cry of a newborn
Is recorded in the fabric of Time.
Every gun shot
Rips through Dark Mother.
Fear is the basis of all injury.
Love constructs the heart, not just your heart,
But the heart of Source.
You are not alone.
Fear not.
Separation creates isolation creates animosity,
Borne of fear.
Love connects and binds,
Healing torn hearts.
Fear and Love cannot reside in the same House.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.        1 John 4:18

Fear not.
Worry not.
Hate not.
Love those that fear, worry, and hate.
This is the great challenge
Put forth by Source.
It is your choice –
In fact, the most important choice,
To Love with all your heart
Regardless of fear of harm,
Which is fear of separation and isolation.
Forgive and love.
This is the lesson borne on the Cross.
Love is not blind.
Love teaches those who fear.
Love is the Great Mother and Great Father,
Who teach the course not with hate,
But with Love.
Love teaches moral tether and integrity
Not with whips, but with Compassion.
Love is gentle; Love is kind.
This is your choice,
To Love and to love with all your heart.
Those who Love heal All.

Curses

Words are thoughts with power.

Some are sabertoothed, ready to slash.

Knives, armed with disdain and fear,

Splitting the air.

Daggers, speeding through quantum time

And entanglement

To hit their mark.

Curses carried by sound,

Looking benign, hidden in lies and insults,

Swaddled as gossip.

Small talk can be deadly curses

Launched to mock, trick, mislead, judge, diminish,

Criticize, bully, scorn, betray, annihilate.

Without concern for karmic and

Akashic significance.

There are no secrets;

All is known to Source.

Cursed words are souls that

Will meet their day in court.
