Poetry Podcast: Cupid Sings the Blues

To honor Valentine’s Day, I created a podcast called Cupid Sings the Blues on my Podbean podcast …. Poetry: The Memoir of the Soul.

Why is Cupid sad? Tune in to find out. You will hear poems by rivrvlogr (one of our fellow WordPress Poets), Robert Burns, Ben Jonson, and myself. The episode is under 30 minutes.

For all the episodes, …. Simply go to the link. The podcast episodes are listed below the site image. Click on an episode title, relax, and enjoy! When you have time, check out my other podcasts.

I am new at this art form, so bear with me as I learn the ropes. 🌹

It’s just you and me, no team. We are enjoying tea or coffee and thoughts on one thing or another.

If you would like to contribute poetry to my podcast, email a word document with your poems. In the subject line, let me know the submissions are for the podcast. I can work the poem(s) into a theme. Also, in the body of the email, tell me any pertinent information you would like me to include in my podcast to support your work. Maybe you have a new poetry book, or would like to promote your blog.

Thank you for your support!

This Cluster Becoming

This Cluster Becoming

She is this cluster becoming exquisite blooms,

Spiraling into her sacred mystery.

Alluring are her tears on her delirium,

Cries of bliss and sorrow

Perfectly wed in this cadmium attire.

This grace,

This poise,

This bouquet;

She is an enigma to fathom.

She holds you in rapture as

This bud unfolds its blooms over time;

The babe blossoms a maiden

With arms outstretched to a searing sun.

Her heart fully opens to her desires and fragility, so

These vulnerable petals in perfect design are

Protected by thorny spears

If mishandled by ardor.

Wounds are auger to be foretold.

Be gentle with transience in any betrothal.

The light dims, and

The petals whither,

Spilling into holy pyre.

I am Ocean

I am Ocean,

Scarlet shadows,

Waves of vibrant

Silken purple,

Breaking in the storm.

No horizon;

Sea is sky.

Sailor, find me.

Feel my sweeping,

Churning turmoil.

Find my turquoise

Silence pulsing

Black to violet,

Subdued in fever.

Sailor, find me,

This is treasure:

Sunken rainbows,

Gold untarnished,

Jewels like coral.

Capture my bounty;

Dread my mystery.

I am Ocean.

Feel me trembling.

Taste me salty.

Sailor, find me.

This is We.
