Grace

the leaves have fallen and stomped to dust

I am laid bare, exposed to wind

my limbs, brittle, still pleading

for a meal of sun

some days too short for food

nests lay bare as squirrels forage

the wind cools me to my roots

I am glass

holding on to my reflections

lest they be lost to twilight yet

Grace clothes me in a gown

meant for a bride embracing her heart

this pure finery sparkles as diamonds

on my icy bough as

I rest with the Angel of Mercy

Homo Sanctus Sanctus

Homo Sanctus Sanctus

When the well sinks into the deep, and

The songs ring flat. When colors fade

To ice and snow. When the sun sets too fast.

And sleep is needed just to breathe.

When good tidings weep without solace, and

The strains of Noel are but tearful whispers.

No one can hold these holy notes alone.

You alone should not bear the burden of

Dust to dust. This is sacred work,

To restore your Being, to evoke your Soul,

Despite the tangle of muddle in the mundane, where

Your disquieted mind diverts you from

Your path. As you flounder, may we be of service.

May we be the weavers drawing your threads into

The tapestry of grace.  May we be the space holders

Bearing up your sorrow for

Transmutation on this bridge of Light,

Offering the way for us all to thrive.

We are harmony, interwoven by cords.

Our affinity reverberates in the geometry

Of the cosmos. We are one on this journey

Infinatum.  Onward. Onward.

Onward. Still, a foundation can crumble,

Spinning us Homo sapiens sapiens

Into a deathless chasm and endless

Drowning in shadows. Without you,

The compass is not viable. Without you,

We agonize. Remember who you are.

Your song resounds in Excelsis Deo.

You are the hymn, echoing light and love.

Eros el mago. You are the mystery, the magician,

Creating sacred alchemy though the effort

Can be painstaking and insufferable,

Full of fear and regret, guilt and shame.

As biography begets biology into bloody

Mayhem, you can recast this malaise,

Gradually interlacing it to the Light.

You are the cosmos, made of filaments

Of nebula, and the framework of planets,

You are spiraling brightly in helical orbits

Divinely connected to the web of life.

The macrocosm is your microcosm.

There is nothing wretched in the Holy.

You are the blessed child entering the castle and

Feasting on the ambrosia of bliss

And joy. We need you. We so need you.

We cannot uphold this firmament without you

If we lose our hold. Eros el curador of debility,

Desperation, and despair. Your grace is a baptism.

A holy communion of purifying fire

Igniting soul out of ash. May you bolster us and

Redeem us, our healer, Homo sanctus sanctus.

Notes if needed…

*”Eros el mago” in Spanish means “You are the magician.”

*”Eros el curator” in Spanish means “You are the healer.”

*”sanctus” is Latin for “holy” or “sacred”

Carolyn Myss teaches the our biography creates our biology. This simply means that how we live affects how we thrive as a biological life form.

In the book The Gene Keys Unlocking the Higher Purpose of Your DNA, Richard Rudd uses the term Homo Sanctus, which I found inspiring.

Nick Seneca Jankel reports of a serendipitous experience in which he was approached by a stranger in India who said, “Eros el Mago” to him. This experience helped ignite an awakening. (Coast to Coast AM, 12/12/2018).

A Prayer: Calm Within the Storm

A Prayer: Calm Within the Storm

To You, the One Most High,
I send this prayer.
It is not with words,
But with the light from my heart.
Words may tarnish
What I truly feel.

I am of Light, am I not?
Light speaks my truth.
You know me as I truly shine,
And even I am still studying
All the facets of my light
To discover my soul mind.

But You know Me,
My dimensional glow,
My powers and also
Each crack in my face
Shattering my facade.
I cannot lie to the One Most High.

Let me open my heart to You so
That You might read my truth.
May I say, I am hurting.
It shows in my light, does it not?
Is this the death of self,
Or new growth of soul?
Which is it?

All the suffering I see,
All the pain I feel,
It is in my light.
It is dimming my light
Into shadows of fear and remorse.

So I kneel in prayer
To the One Most High.
May I release it to You to be
Transformed into dust for
New stars,
Rather than building a taller wall
Around my heart?

I feel those dense walls of
Heavy stone and mortar
Slowly building up over time,
And the bramble of weeds
Stretching to my throat,
My truth succumbing to the drought
Of tears,
Feeling caught up in surviving
A battle of wills.

May I receive healing
And assistance?
Guidance?
May I be blessed? Saved? Anointed?

When I rise up with my arms
To touch You,
I feel Your Light always
As it flows into my veins,
I know. I know.
Yet I battle Your Grace
All too often,
Thinking I can save Myself.
I can do it.
I will do it.

Only I can make this way.
I work so hard for You.
I am enough, am I not?
Am I not Your vase of seeds
For new gardens?
Am I not Your sword
Battling all to carry Your Word
As I rage in this messy confrontation
Of powers and forces all around me?

Humbly, I come to know that
You are never apart from me;
I am You.
I Am You,
A spark of Source Light.
This light in my heart is You.
How can I dismiss it?
How can I taint it with fear?
How can I wall it off,
Resisting gratitude?
How can I address You but
On my own mundane terms?

This pain is illusory,
This way of mine is illusory,
As is ‘I’ and ‘My’.
As is ‘You’ and ‘Your’.
So there are no words
That can express truth.
All that is
Is the Light,
Emanating into and from the heart
As cosmic breath.

Just being in this Light
Without petitioning,
Without crying out,
Without withstanding,
Without beseeching,
Without condemning,
Without apologizing,
Without negotiating,
Without grieving,
Without fearing a fate,
Without playing the drama,…

Just being in this Light,
Just being,
This is enough,
Is it not?
That is the prayer,
Is it not?

That is the prayer.

Pray for the One

Pray for the One

Good deeds are acts of prayer

To the light, our vanguard.

This is the time when

Acts of love are needed

To fortify the One of which

We all are,

One Unity of Light,

Strengthened by deeds for

Others and Mother Earth.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One,

All people, all birds, all animals,

All trees, all flowers, all mountains,

All seas, all oceans, all lakes,

All of Mother Earth,

With acts of true love,

Good deeds,

For they are of valor.

They are of Unity;

We are One.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

These prayers are not dogma.

Love is the conduit and mortar,

Holding us in the Light,

Building community and harmony

To fight the darkness,

Which is dividing us

Into our Shadows.

Dogma divides;

Love melts us into

Each other and all of nature.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Our Mother creates our substance;

Our Father, our spirit.

Prayer marries heart and soul.

Spirit meets substance in

Actions of love.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Darkness persists, yet

Balance restores.

Fear divides the One

Into fragments.

This is hell,

Broken hearts,

Unbound to love,

Duality,

The separation of souls from

The One.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Dreams of Self are illusions.

Me and you, the great lie.

This division of the One

Causes suffering and battles.

Heed not the codes

That spread this lie.

This is the time

To drop centric illusions of

Self above all.

This dream is a nightmare,

Breeding the Shadows that

Haunt our days.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Greed torments Mother Earth

And splits souls like atoms,

Ready for holocaust.

Humanity is vulnerable to Shadows;

Earth is rotting in the lies.

This mulch will bear famine.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Our loneliness breeds fear,

The brother of war.

This is not what truth decrees.

Actions of love unite All

In harmony with creation,

For love creates; fear destroys.

It wants no dissent.

Its lies appear as truth, but

If Shadows appear, so do lies,

Dressed in fine lines and bold colors

And dancing in Fool’s Gold.

This mining leaves Earth barren.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

We swoon to the dance of Lies’ amenities

And bargain away our divinity

For short-lived glee:

Out for Me, not for We.

Prayers for bonuses go unheard.

Prayers with promises turn to mist.

Prayers of love double in bounty

And multiply the Flower of Life.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Evil is, no doubt.

It nurtures its own for its prize.

It’s beguiling and deceptive, for

It’s guilty of its tales of others.

Evil is the perpetrator, the trickster.

We are misguided and complicit

In our ignorance and swayed by delusions.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Pray with acts of love

For those pointed out

And cast into the abyss.

Pray for your city,

Pray for your state,

Pray for your country,

Pray for your world

With acts of love.

Let us raise our hands to the Light,

To the Divine,

And act in Grace with all,

For all.

So pray. Pray for the One,

Pray by loving the One.

Pray until you feel the pain

Of a dying bird.

Pray until you feel the joy

Of the birth of a rose.

When you hear

The prayers of trees,

You will know that

We are One.

World Peace Covenant

The Universal Peace Covenant

Peace is the breath of our spirit.

It wells up from within the depths of our being to refresh, to heal, to inspire.

Peace is our birthright.

Its eternal presence exists within us as a memory of where we have come from and as a vision of where we yearn to go.

Our world is in the midst of change.

For millennia, we have contemplated, reasoned, and practiced the idea of peace. Yet the capacity to sustain peace eludes us. To transcend the limits of our own thinking we must acknowledge that peace is more than the cessation of conflict. For peace to move across the face of the earth we must realize, as the great philosophers and leaders before us, that all people desire peace. We hereby acknowledge this truth that is universal. Now humanity must desire those things that make for peace.

We affirm that peace is an idea whose time has come.

We call upon humanity to stand united, responding to the need for peace. We call upon each individual to create and foster a personal vision for peace. We call upon each family to generate and nurture peace within the home. We call upon each nation to encourage and support peace among its citizens. We call upon each leader, be they in the private home, house of worship or place of labor, to be a living example of peace for only in this way can we expect peace to move across the face of the earth.

World Peace begins within ourselves.

Arising from the spirit peace seeks expression through the mind, heart, and body of each individual. Government and laws cannot heal the heart. We must transcend whatever separates us. Through giving love and respect, dignity and comfort, we come to know peace. We learn to love our neighbors as we love ourselves bringing peace into the world. We hereby commit ourselves to this noble endeavor.

Peace is first a state of mind.

Peace affords the greatest opportunity for growth and learning which leads to personal happiness. Self-direction promotes inner peace and therefore leads to outer peace. We vow to heal ourselves through forgiveness, gratitude, and prayer. We commit to causing each and every day to be a fulfillment of our potential, both human and divine.

Peace is active, the motion of silence, of faith, of accord, of service.

It is not made in documents but in the minds and hearts of men and women. Peace is built through communication. The open exchange of ideas is necessary for discovery, for well-being, for growth, for progress whether within one person or among many. We vow to speak with sagacity, listen with equanimity, both free of prejudice, thus we will come to know that peace is liberty in tranquility.

Peace is achieved by those who fulfill their part of a greater plan.

Peace and security are attained by those societies where the individuals work closely to serve the common good of the whole. Peaceful coexistence between nations is the reflection of man’s inner tranquility magnified. Enlightened service to our fellowman brings peace to the one serving, and to the one receiving. We vow to live in peace by embracing truths that apply to us all.

Living peaceably begins by thinking peacefully.

We stand on the threshold of peace-filled understanding. We come together, all of humanity, young and old of all cultures from all nations. We vow to stand together as citizens of the Earth knowing that every question has an answer, every issue a resolution. As we stand, united in common purpose, we hereby commit ourselves in thought and action so we might know the power of peace in our lifetimes.

Peace be with us all ways.

May Peace Prevail On Earth.

Broken Heart

Broken Heart

A broken heart,

The construct of love breached,

Rivets on the bridge

snapping in a storm.

The dam opening,

Spilling grief in torrents,

Flooding with tears

The home in the valley.

Trails and journeys,

Washing away,

Burying hope in sediment.

Lives stiffening into artifacts.

Is it inherent for

Yin to slaughter Yang?

Can a smile balance on

One lip?

Is a journey taken with

One foot?

Is a blossom perched on

No stem?

Are rays emitted by

No sun?

A heart is a quilt sewn with

One continuous thread –

Joy stitching onto grief,

Grief onto hope,

Hope onto despair,

Despair onto joy.

Forms have shadows.

What is a shadow without light?

A heart completes itself.

What is breaking is

Already mending.
