Thank you, Smitha, for your thoughtful discussion of our book. Writing this book with Nolcha Fox helped me over a hump after my book Three-Penny Memories: A Poetic Memoir was published. My memoir involved heavy grief work. With Nolcha, I was able to regain my sense of humor. Our poems address grief, aging, death, and other tough topics with neo noir humor. We laughed a lot while writing this book.
