In early November in 2024, I founded a new journal called FEED THE HOLY. It’s doing very well! I’m booking next year! I’m so grateful!
The first thing people think about with the word “holy” is religion. Our holy books are important, but I’m looking for other interpretations of the word “holy”. The works in this journal ring of universal truth. They are more about people’s human journey than dogma. More details about what I’m looking for can can be found HERE.
In this journal, the word “holy” covers what is sacred in our human experience. I look for poems, stories, and memoir about how people are navigating these fraught times. Contributors share ways achieve peace of mind. They write about what brings them joy. They show how they feed the holy or sacred in their life or community. They explore how they nurture love and kindness.
They share their personal journeys. How and why do they suffer? How and why do they grieve? How do they heal? How do they honor nature? Others? Themselves? The topic is broad and nuanced.
Some Topics: family, aging, the seasons, nature, illness, animal rights, the present moment, peaaceful moments, hope, solitude, suffering, death, loss, grief, children, pets, addiction, recovery, existential questions, joyful times, relationships, anger, love, regret, and many more topics. In the drop down menu on the header image for FEED THE HOLY, you can see the labels (the list of topics, genres, and authors).
I’ve also created a contributor list with the images and bios of the authors. It is also on the FEED THE Holy header image. Click on “More” there. Or follow this link to FEED THE HOLY‘s Family of Contributors.
