Thank you, Nolcha Fox, for publishing my poems for the African school children in Kenya. These poems were read as part of the Poetry Reading Project on Hillary Mainga’s Facebook page (Hillary Mainga).
Some characters and story lines are developing. I usually do not use end rhymes when I write poems. I hope I am improving. Take a look…
I’m including my post about the Hillary Mainga Foundation below. The school of orphans, located in Kenya, is maintained by people who have little money. But they want to save the children. By law, the orphans need school uniforms. On top of that, they require food, other clothing, beds, school supplies, desks, and much more. Due to low funds, 40 students may have to be let go from the school this month (December 2025) and fend for themselves on the street.
A group of poets on Facebook is contacting churches and writing to charities, but even these some of these sources are low on funds.
Hillary Mainga is looking for people willing to adopt a child for a monthly donation. You can email him at hillarymaingafoundation@yahoo.com for details or contact him on Facebook Messenger. If you wish to make a one-time or monthly donation, you can use PayPal to donate to hillarymaingafoundation@yahoo.com.
Thanks for all you do!
