Collateral Damage — Spillwords

My gratitude to Spillwords for publishing my poem about the collateral damage of Putin’s unhinged attack on Ukraine. I have friends from Ukraine who have lost track of loved ones or who fret daily for their family and friends. The poem leads us to see that war only causes unresolved pain and grief, which eats our bones and dissolves our joints. Still we carry the hunched, bearded signs as honking cars speed by.
