“There’s Never Enough of Me” by Barbara Leonhard, Melissa Lemay, and Nolcha Fox
something smelly is growing
in the back of the refrigerator
It leaves footprints of crumbs and smears
the dust bunnies need feeding daily
I drape myself in lacy spider webs
drips without drops
run down the front of the stove
trail of spaghetti sauce
trails and trials, so many disasters
I’ll pay anything for someone to clean up this mess
my husband loves spaghetti,
so pay him to clean up the mess
then he can treat me to a movie
and a Powerball ticket
when we win millions, I’ll get a maid
